ACCOUNT MANAGER

Job Description

Coastal Equipment Corporation is searching for a driven and energetic person willing to learn the field of Materials Handling as an Account Manager.

This role will be responsible for every facet of client interaction from sales to install. This includes sales, product knowledge, design, project management, install, as well as post install follow up.

We are looking for a person who has a combination of sales experience coupled with a mechanical aptitude. A background in industrial sales would be a plus. The sales territory will include a combination of current and new accounts in Maine and New England. Training will consist of on the job training with an established mentorship program. We have an attractive compensation and benefits program. Pay structure and target compensation is dependent on individual and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for clients by listening and learning about their needs

  • Achieve sales goals by developing client relationships

  • Ensure cost effective business solutions for clients while maintaining profitability

  • Follow up several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met

  • Present and demonstrate the value of our products, solutions and services to prospective clients 

  • Stay current on company offerings and industry trends

  • Maintain a database of contact information

  • Build and establish relationships with new and current clients.

  • Plan, organize, and schedule territory development

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or some demonstrated college experience required

  • Bachelor's degree and related experience preferred 

  • Experience in sales, industrial sales, or related fields desired

  • Candidate will demonstrate and be willing to cultivate the following:

    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications 

    • CAD Experience

    • Confident and driven

    • Leadership and independence

    • The ability to multitask and be flexible

    • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong negotiation skills

    • Effective communication skills

Compensation:

Salary, salary + commission, or commission only plans available. Salary plans will be negotiated based on the applicant’s experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, in office and at customer locations as needed.

COVID-19:

During COVID-19, we have maintained out office attendance. We adhere to social distancing, mask sage when moving within the office and increased surface cleaning. In person cold calls are very limited. By the nature of our products and services, we visit client locations to perform our work. In all cases, the client and the Coastal staff follow current and accepted COVID-19 recommendations to remain safe. Anyone visiting our offices will be required to wear a mask when entering the building, and will be asked to disinfect their hands and have temperature recorded.
